Jigsaws use brushes which sometimes need to be replaced. Brushes get worn out in time and can cause serious engine trouble and that is why it is very important to keep them in good condition. Do not try to repair the defects on the device yourself, if you are not trained for this, contact an authorized service. However, there are some things you can do by yourself to make the device work better and longer:
Maintain a clean work surface. Cluttered working space can lead to accidents.
Never use the saw near flammable liquids and gases.
Always use safety glasses when working with the saw. Use a face mask if you work in a dusty environment.
Never use the machine in damp or wet conditions.
When changing the blade, make sure that the cable is plugged out. If you do not check, it may result in serious injury.
Always use the appropriate blade for the jigsaw. Blades that are not recommended by the manufacturer may cause loss of control while working and imprecise cutting.
Before cutting, carefully check the tightness of the knife. If the knife is not in the tray, it may result in an injury.
Press the ignition button. Allow the jigsaw to reach top speed before you start working.
For better operation of the machine, sometimes lubricate the blade bearing with oil which is recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not overload the device, at all times maintain a good balance and have a good support on your feet. After demanding and intensive cutting leave the machine in operation idle for a few minutes to cool down. Jigsaws have a dot for electronic speed control with the help of which you adjust the speed depending on the job you need to do.
